About Donna

Hi, I'm Donna

I have spent the most of my professional career in the area of home economics and family and consumer sciences.

Our major goal in this field of study is that of preparing our student for the responsibility of balancing career and family.

My eight cookbooks have recipes that are perfect for someone who has very little time or money to spend on meal preparation or balancing career and family.  All of the recipes are simple with easy to find ingredients.

I grew up in the small community of Cass, which is northeast of Stigler, Oklahoma.

My B.S. degree is in home economics education from the University of Oklahoma.  I have a masters degree and as I always say my doctoral work is incomplete. I have taught at the high school and university levels. I retired from the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education where I supervised family and consumer sciences teachers in the southeast part of Oklahoma

My husband is Robert Bonner and we just built a new home over looking Cass and beautiful rural Haskell County.  We have no children but we have wonderful little dachshund named Dorcus

Meeting the demands of your family can be overwhelming. Add to that a trying day at work and there is little time for meal preparation.

I have observed people working all of my life. I grew up in the small community of Cass, which is northeast of Stigler, Oklahoma.

My favorite subjects in high school were my home economics classes. I was also very active in FHA or what is now FCCLA.
